The Northwood Ski Team hosted its third annual Northwood Alumni GS race at Whiteface on Saturday, January 2nd. Following the race, Perry Babcock, Tim Weaver, Guy Middleton, Marcy Fagan, and Jamie Welsh ‘03 hosted a reception in the living room of the Allyn Building where Northwood friends, family, faculty, parents, and alumni gathered to celebrate the event. The race was a success and we were thrilled to see many alumni as well as current Northwood ski racers participate in the weekend. The following notable folks were seen: Kirsten Anderson ‘09, Stephen Brady (’08), Mike Butler ‘81, Corey Brousseau ‘09, Emily Roy ‘08, Katie Haggerty ‘09, CC Ignatuk ‘09, Ashley LaCavalla ‘05, Nicole Salzman ‘09, and Eli Schwartzberg ‘99. During the cocktail reception, Sheryl Madden (current parent) won a new pair of Blizzard slalom skis in the ski raffle, donated to Northwood Ski Team from Blizzard. Congrats to the Madden family and thanks to all for helping raise over $350 to benefit the Annual Fund. Northwood had successful results in the race. Eight of our female skiers ended up in the top 15! Thanks to all who participated in the weekend!
