Waiting for you at Northwood School are two of the three essential elements of the perfect wilderness education program:
1: Our staff has a wealth of experience in outdoor adventure and education.
2: Our wilderness setting is as diverse and spectacular as can be found anywhere!
The third essential is YOU! Come ready to experience and grow, and the wilderness skills program will change you forever.
The Northwood experience for members of the Wilderness Skills program includes: rock climbing, orienteering, search and rescue, ice climbing, low-impact camping, wilderness first aid, and winter navigation and survival.
Don Mellor, professional guide, ice climber and author is the leader of the Wilderness Program at Northwood School. Incredible challenges and excitement await students who choose the Wilderness option at Northwood. A quest for bold adventures and a lifelong love for the outdoors are experiences students take with them when they leave the school.
