The James H. Fullerton Wall of Recognition

The James H. Fullerton Wall of Recognition was dedicated on Saturday June 18, 2005, during the Centennial Celebration weekend, on the campus of Northwood School. Each inductee received a framed copy of their picture mounted on the wall. The inaugural group of inductees included all those Northwood School graduates who were Olympians or members of the National Hockey League. They are:

The Northwood School Alumni Weekend 2007featured the induction of eight new alumni into the James Fullerton Wall of Recognition. Each of the inductees was presented with a framed copy of the picture that will hang on the Wall of Recognition during a ceremony Saturday afternoon.

Katrina Lussi Kroes '87was a member of the US Freestyle Ski Team form 1991-1996. The Boston College graduate competed for the Alpine Ski Team during her collegiate years, switching to Freestyle after school. Katrina was the Nor Am Grand Prix Freestyle champion in 1992. Katrina is the daughter of Caroline and Serge Lussi and one of three Lussi children to graduate form Northwood School.

Jennifer Borzilleri Ledger '85was a member of the US Telemark Ski Team from 1992-1997. During that time Jenn competed on the World Cup circuit, achieving a 10th place ranking in 1995. Jenn was a US Champion in 1994 and 1995, a Canadian Champion in 1994, and holds 11 national titles in telemark racing in the disciplines of slalom, GS, Classic and overall. Jenn is a resident of Lake Placid, NY.

Roby Politi '68graduated from St. Lawrence University as a three-time all-east team member. Roby won the Outstanding Senior Athlete award at St. Lawrence and is now a member of the school's Hall of Fame. Roby is a two-time NCAA Division I All-American and participated on the US FISU team after college. He was highlighted in "Faces in the Crowd” in Sports Illustrated and most recently completed his tenure as Mayor of Lake Placid.

Michael Raymaley '65was a three-time member of the Eastern Junior National team while at Northwood School, winning the MacKensie Trophy at Whiteface Mountain his sophomore year. Michael went on to Middlebury College where he competed in the Eastern Downhill Championships at Wildcat Mountain, NH. Competing in all three Alpine disciplines Michael participated in the first North American World Cup event at Cannon Mountain, NH. Michael is a resident of Lake Placid, NY.
 
C.F. Robert Hanke '56is one of the most decorated athletes from the 1950s in Northwood School history. Rob was a member of the Ski, Track and Football teams, winning the Chase Ski Jumping Trophy, the Four-event Ski Trophy and the Hasse Skeet Shooting Trophy in 1955 and 1956. At Yale Rob was a National and Ivy League Champion swimmer, a member of the Track and Ski Teams and a Light Heavyweight Boxing Champion. Rob continued setting new records in the Marine Corps, recording the first perfect score ever recorded in the Physical Fitness Test. Rob has instructed skiing for the past 35 years as a Certified Alpine Ski Instructor at the Vail Ski School.
Mike Karin '55was Hockey Captain and MVP while at Northwood School. Mike went on to Middlebury College where he still holds the school scoring record. Mike holds NCAA records for assists in a season, points in a single game, and assists in a single game. Mike won the Walter A. Brown Trophy in 1959 which is awarded to the "best American born Division I Ice Hockey player in New England.” After college Mike coached at the collegiate and high school level and was instrumental in starting the Middlebury College Women's Ice Hockey program.
Warren Witherellwas a member of the Northwood School faculty from 1958 to 1965. Warren is a member of the US Alpine Skiing Hall of Fame 1998 and the Vermont Ski Museum Hall of Fame 2006. Warren has published two books and over 30 feature articles about the art of ski sports. Warren was the founding Headmaster of Burke Mountain Academy and is also a member of the US Water Ski Hall of Fame.

Charles E. Holtcoached and mentored at Northwood School from 1955-1962. Charlie went on to coach at Colby College and UNH, winning the Spencer T. Penrose Award (NCAA Coach of the Year) three times and the Clark Hodder Award (New England Coach of the Year) twice. Charlie was inducted into the US Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997. The Charles E. Holt Sportsmanship Trophy is awarded each year at Northwood School graduation.
