The Northwood School Snowboard team offers training up to six days a week throughout the winter season. We ride at Whiteface Mountain, which offers a state of the art terrain park and a half pipe for our freestyle and alpine needs. Our athletes compete in the USASA Adirondack Series on the weekends throughout the winter. Team coaches include Zack Jakub from Northwood School and Mike Kirchner from New York State Ski and Snowboard Education Foundation (NYSEF, www.nysef.org).
Each snowboard athlete must be a member of USASA in order to compete in sanctioned age group competitions. Our goal is to develop and maintain a program that welcomes all abilities.
