The Advancement Office at Northwood School manages all aspects of the School’s marketing, promotion, advertising, development and admissions-related work. We may also be called the Office of External affairs, as most of what we do involves the transfer of information about life at NorthwoodSchool to the world beyond. Everything we do focuses on enhancement of the School’s Mission Statement and the five Core values of the School. You will see these values woven into the fabric of all our communications. The Mission Statement will also be validated at every opportunity. Whenever we can tell the Northwood story . . . we will!
The Advancement team consists of Perry Babcock, Director of Advancement, Michael Aldridge, Director of Communications, Kristin LeRoy, Alumni Relations Coordinator and Christine Ashe, Annual Giving and Alumni Relations. We work closely with the Admissions office, the office of the Headmaster and other members of the administration to ensure the best possible external and internal communication. We often involve students, faculty, current parents, alumni and friends in our programs. Again it is our goal to present fun, interesting and accurate information about the Northwood School community.

Perry Babcock - Director of Advancement |
| Perry enters year 13 at Northwood, and year 23 in secondary education, having worked in three other schools before returning to Lake Placid with his wife Susan and three children, Hannah, Molly and Perry. He enjoys tennis, golf and most outdoor adventures, and is often seen running the Coble Mountain trails with his black lab, Gus. |
Michael Aldridge - Director of Communications |
| Michael
joined Northwood in the summer of 2002 as the Director of
Communications. Since graduating from Sheridan College of Fine Arts,
Michael has continually worked in commercial photography and design
bringing a wealth of experience to his position here at Northwood.
Michael moved to Lake Placid from Aruba in 1993 having accepted a
position with the Lake Placid Vacation Corporation. Prior to joining
Northwood, Michael's photographic client list included: Hilton Resorts,
Miller Sports Group, IMG, Aruba Publications, the Olympic Regional
Development Authority, SBC Media, Golf Digest, Crowne Plaza Resorts and
New York ByWays. |
Kristin LeRoy - Alumni Relations Coordinator |
| Krisitn lives on campus with her husband Josh and son, Conor. She joined Northwood in the fall of 2006 as the Director of Annual Giving and is in her 8th year in independent schools. She enjoys playing golf and spending time with her family and friends. |
Christine Ashe - Annual Giving and Alumni Relations |
| Christine Ashe has joined the Advancement Office as the new Director of Annual Giving. Christine will be responsible for the Annual Fund and all alumni related matters. Originally from Massachusetts, Christine graduated from U Mass, Amherst. She has spent the last seventeen years living and working in Denver, Colorado, and brings a wealth of expertise in marketing, public relations, sales and event planning to her job. |
